About Clifford B. Edwards

Cliff Edwards

As a coach, mentor and consultant for over 15 years, Cliff specializes in providing life-changing perspectives and fast results for leaders, teachers, coaches and other professionals.

With a highly attuned ability to hear the deepest essence of what is said, he has a gift for asking incisive questions and giving straight, clear feedback that enables clients to quickly overcome obstacles and find new levels of expression and success in both their work and personal lives.

Cliff is an expert in empowering clients to communicate with confidence and improve relationships of all kinds by developing more clear, direct and effective styles of interaction. Using a candid yet compassionate and light-hearted approach, he provides a safe environment for clients to access and trust their innate wisdom and keeps them accountable as they follow through with their insights and actions. Cliff has the certainty, clarity and experience to fearlessly take clients into the very heart of their most profound challenges and guides them to transform limitations into assets and achieve breakthrough results.

He is a living example of what’s possible through committed use of the ideas and concepts of personal development and the continuing process of self-examination and commitment to growth. Inspired and empowered by the changes in his own life as a result of work with renowned author and transformational leader Debbie Ford, Cliff trained as a personal coach in 1998. Soon he built a successful coaching business combining the ideas and processes of group transformational work, with the structures and support of individual coaching.

Along with Ms. Ford, Cliff co-founded the Ford Institute for Integrative Coaching in 2000. As a staff member, key trainer and coach in the Institute until 2012, Cliff helped to train over 1000 coaches worldwide. In addition, he has been one of the primary architects and developers of the powerful and life-changing coaching methodologies, training structures and emotional education programs offered by the Institute.

Prior to training as a coach, Cliff spent countless hours guiding and assisting people through life issues as a group facilitator, licensed minister, and spiritual counselor. Having also worked as a social services professional, in art and custom framing, retail management and as owner of a corporate legal support services business, Cliff brings a wide variety of life experience and knowledge to every interaction. Now as a professional coach, mentor and trainer, and as he continues to write and develop transformational programs, he is passionate about supporting others to become boldly self-expressed and attain the success and happiness they desire.

Cliff has served on the boards of many non-profit and professional organizations, including both the International Coach Federation and the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association. He grew up in Seattle, Washington, and now lives in San Diego, California with his wife Loree and their cat Athena. He has achieved the rank of 2nd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do Karate. When he isn’t engaged in coaching, mentoring or teaching, he can often be found walking and communing with nature or enjoying food and laughter with family and friends.

A little know fact about Cliff is that in 1987, for several months he spent his weekends wearing a giant chicken costume to promote a Seattle area car dealership, and earn extra money to help finance his move to Southern California!
